9-1-1 Address Changes

The Municipality of Trent Lakes would like to inform property owners that the 9-1-1 address changes project is continuing. The areas known as “Buckhorn” and “Lakehurst” were changed in 2013.

In 2015 the following area was changed: County Road 36 at Flynn’s Corner’s to the Municipal boundary at Bobcaygeon and all roads in-between. As well as, The Municipal boundary at Bobcaygeon north to the intersection of County Road 49 and County Road 121 and all roads in-between.

Your new address is valid with Canada Post, and therefore any mailers that subscribe to Canada Post’s addressing information will update automatically. However, please keep in mind that these third-party organizations may not update their information immediately, therefore they may not recognize your new address right away. Mail will be delivered to your old address for up to one year. It is your responsibility to ensure your mailing address is updated and correct for your correspondence purposes, both sending and receiving.

The Municipality would like to inform the residents in the remainder the Municipality of Trent Lakes that the 9-1-1 address change project will be moving into the Galway-Cavendish areas over the next couple of years. Residents will receive reminders through newsletters and the Trent Lakes website as to when these changes will be occurring.
