Sale of Land By Public Tender
Take Notice That the Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of Trent Lakes proposes to sell a parcel of land as described below;
And Further That tenders are invited for the purchase of land described below and will be received by 11:59 a.m. on December 19, 2017 at the Municipal Office located at 760 Peterborough County Road 36, Trent Lakes, Ontario K0M 1A0. The tenders will be opened in the public on the same day at 12:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Municipal Office.
Description of Lands:
Vacant land on Baker Drive having legal description Part of Block 20 on Plan 45M86, Geographic Township of Cavendish, except Part 1, Plan 45R6362, subject to a right-of-way over Part 1, Plan 45R16456 if favour of those entitled thereto, with approximately 4.45 ha (11 ac) and approximately 213 m (700 ft) of frontage on Picard Lake.

Minimum Tender Amount:
These lands were declared to be surplus by the Council of the Municipality of Trent Lakes by By-law No. B2014-012.
Tenders must be submitted on the Tender Form for Purchase of Surplus Lands and must be accompanied by a deposit in the form of a money order, bank draft or certified cheque payable to the Municipality of Trent Lakes and representing at least 20 per cent of the tender amount.
The Municipality makes no representation regarding the title to or any other matters relating to the lands to be sold. Responsibility for ascertaining these matters rests with the potential purchasers.
This sale is governed by Policy AD-08, Disposal of Real Property. The successful purchaser will be required to pay the amount tendered plus any applicable taxes plus all legal fees and expenses.
The Municipality has no obligation to provide vacant possession to the successful purchaser.
