Administration

Administration is responsible for coordinating the various municipal department managers and the services that each department provides for the day-to-day operation of the Municipality. The head of the Administration department is the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).

Role of the CAO

The CAO’s primary role is to provide efficient and effective administrative management services to Council, staff, and the public, and is responsible for the overall operations management of the Corporation.

The CAO maintains contact with federal, provincial and other municipal governments and their agencies to provide Council with comprehensive information to develop, establish and review policies and plans in accordance with all applicable by-laws and regulations.

The CAO also ensures that policies, programs and other directions of Council are implemented, and is a liaison between staff and Council. The CAO provides information and advice to Council, and leadership and direction to Municipal staff.

Hours of Operation

Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.
