Administration is responsible for coordinating the various municipal department managers and the services that each department provides for the day-to-day operation of the Municipality. The head of the Administration department is the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).


Role of the CAO

The CAO’s primary role is to provide efficient and effective administrative management services to Council, staff, and the public, and is responsible for the overall operations management of the Corporation.

The CAO maintains contact with federal, provincial and other municipal governments and their agencies to provide Council with comprehensive information to develop, establish and review policies and plans in accordance with all applicable by-laws and regulations.

The CAO also ensures that policies, programs and other directions of Council are implemented, and is a liaison between staff and Council. The CAO provides information and advice to Council, and leadership and direction to Municipal staff.

Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.

A formal Complaint or Compliment Form is available for this purpose. The form is available as a downloadable pdf fillable form. Download the form to your computer and complete the form. Save a copy then attach it to an email, or print the form and mail or fax it. The Municipality of Trent Lakes is committed to continuous organizational improvement in an environment where all complaints are dealt with fairly in a respectful, transparent fashion.

A complaint is an expression of dissatisfaction related to the service, actions or lack of actions by a Municipality  of Trent Lakes staff member in connection with the delivery of services to the public. Complaints may relate to the actions of an individual or a policy, process or procedure.

Anonymous allegations or allegations made on behalf of an unidentified third party will not be entertained or investigated. A complaint is distinct from a request for service, enquiry, feedback, compliment, or suggestion.


The Complaints and Compliments Form can also be used to express appreciation for satisfactory or above-satisfactory service by a Municipality of Trent Lakes staff member, department or initiative.
