Inspections are mandatory for all building and renovation projects. For construction to begin, you must have completed a building permit including building plans, drawings and specifications in compliance with the Ontario Building Code and any other applicable municipal by-laws.

A building inspector will review the plans before construction starts and will perform on-site inspections at certain stages in the construction process. You or your contractor is responsible for booking all inspections after each stage of construction is completed.

To book a building inspection please contact the Building and Planning Administrative Assistant at 705-738-3800.
