Notice of Bridge Closure: Peter’s Island Bridge

Tuesday, October 16, 2018
Geotechnical Investigation

The County of Peterborough will be completing a geotechnical investigation on the road approaches to Peter’s Island Bridge, on Tuesday, October 16, 2018. This investigation will require the full closure of the bridge to vehicular traffic.

Peter’s Island Bridge is a single lane structure crossing over Crystal Lake via Peter’s Island Road and Crystal Lake Road, located in the Municipality of Trent Lakes.

The work will involve the setup of a borehole drilling rig on the road approaches leading up to the bridge. Due to the size of the rig, the bridge will not be accessible to any vehicular traffic.

Pedestrian access over the bridge will be accommodated during the completion of this geotechnical investigation.

Please note that the timelines are approximate and will vary dependent upon weather and other factors. We apologize for any inconvenience during this work and thank you for your patience.
