April 17, 2024 [TRENT LAKES, ON] - Doctors of the Buckhorn Regional Health Centre were formally recognized for their dedicated service to the community during the Trent Lakes Council Meeting on April 16, 2024.
Trent Lakes Mayor Terry Lambshead presented Dr. Jonathan Mallory and Dr. Scott Ferrier with plaques from the municipality to recognize both of their dedication, hard work and leadership to the patients and staff of Buckhorn Regional Health Centre.
“We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Mallory and Dr. Ferrier for your years of dedicated service to the patients of the Buckhorn Regional Health Centre and provide you each with a plaque of recognition,” said Lambshead.
Dr. Mallory officially retired from his practice at the Buckhorn Regional Health Centre earlier this year. Both Dr. Mallory and Dr. Ferrier began their practice at the centre when it officially opened its doors in 2009.
Dr. Enow Enow joined the centre in February to take on Dr. Mallory’s patients as well as some new applicants.
Mayor Lambshead officially welcomed Dr. Enow to the community and provided each of the three doctors with a gift basket of assorted products from local businesses in Trent Lakes.
“These days, many people go without a family doctor in their community,” said Lambshead. “We are very lucky Dr. Enow chose to practice in Trent Lakes to ensure our residents are taken care of.”
Peterborough County staff Lori Richey, Healthcare Advancement Coordinator and Karen Lynch, Manager of Strategic Initiatives were also in attendance.
