Integrity Commissioner

Section 223 of the Municipal Act allows the Municipality of Trent Lakes to appoint an Integrity Commissioner. The Integrity Commissioner assesses and investigates complaints. Complaints may be about contraventions by Council or local board members of:

• The Code of Conduct
• The Municipal Conflict of Interest Act
• Any policy, procedure or by-law adopted by Council

The Code of Conduct for Members of Council outlines principles of good conduct and ethics. Council Members are expected to demonstrate this conduct in the performance of their duties as elected official.

Submit a complaint

If you witness behavior or an activity by a member of Council you feel goes against the Code of Conduct, you may file a written complaint. If you have a complaint, please contact the Integrity Commissioner.
