Trailer Park Design Guide

We have an updated Trailer Park Design Guide to meet the 2024 Ontario Building Code. It has updated footing requirements and stair run length.   Please check your lot overage of your proposed structures as the maximum allowable lot coverage per site is 24 %, please indicate this on your site plan when applying for a permit.

If you are applying for an add-a-room permit, the minimum footing size that will be accepted will be 2 x 24" x 24" x 3.5" footing with the appropriate sized saddle & post.  The footing type can either be a pre-cast cottage pad, or a poured footing.  Please check with your local trailer park if you are able to pour concrete on your site.

2024 OBC Part 9 Code Change Guide and Information Package

The Municipality also developed an information package detailing the code changes for Part 9 in the 2024 Ontario Building Code. It will assist in explaining the specific codes changes when designing a new single-family dwelling; including the Soil Gas Control (Radon Air Barrier) requirements.
