2026 Zoning By-law Update
The Municipality of Trent Lakes is undertaking a review of its Comprehensive Zoning By-law in 2026, with a new Zoning By-law to be completed in 2027.

The Zoning By-law update will implement the policies of the Draft County of Peterborough Official Plan, address recent changes to the provincial legislation, reflect best practices, and address housekeeping matters. The new Zoning By-law and Zoning Schedules will apply to all lands throughout the Municipality of Trent Lakes.

Why are we Reviewing our Zoning By-Law?
The Planning Act requires that municipalities review and update their Zoning By-Law to conform with the Official Plan within 3 years of an Official Plan update.
Jp2g Consultants Inc. was retained by the Municipality to assist with this project.
How Do I Get Involved?
We would love to hear from you while we review the Trent Lakes Zoning By-law.
In person opportunities for public input on the Zoning By-Law Review and Update will be provided at our Open Houses which will be held at a date to be determined.
Public input is welcomed at any time by using the fillable form below.
The Planning Act requires that Council hold at least one public meeting to give members of the community an opportunity to ask questions and to discuss possible revisions to the Zoning By-Law.
