Important update on the Adopt-A-Road Program and all roadside clean-up events: Peterborough Public Health has advised that roadside clean-up events are prohibited under the most recent Stay-At-Home Order. The Municipality will certainly look to support these kind of efforts in the future when we are outside of this lockdown situation. Well-Water Sample Testing Program Continuing Our office is closed to the public during the Provincial Emergency period, but we will be continuing the well water sampling service with your co-operation. Water sample kits will be made available for pickup at the Municipal office upper level during regular business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.). Today, Peterborough Public Health issued a warning following an increase in suspected drug poisonings.
On Thursday, January 26, Peterborough Public Health detected a high number of drug poisonings that occurred over the last 24 hours in Peterborough City/County. A total of 5 drug-related poisonings were responded to by 911 first responders. This is presumed to be the result of 3 different opioid products that are blue in colour and one white in colour that is being mistaken for crack cocaine....
