Starting January 1st, 2024, responsibility for blue box recycling collection and processing will transition from Peterborough County to producers of packaging and paper products.
Producer Responsibility means producers – the companies that design, create and market products and packaging – are fully responsible for managing and paying for the life cycle of their products and packaging.

Parks Canada would like to advise the public that a temporary load reduction to 5 tonnes and speed reduction to 10km/hr will be in force immediately for the White Lake Road Bridge located in the Municipality of Highlands East connecting Salerno and White Lakes.
