The Municipality of Trent Lakes staff will be carrying out a sign removal event across the Municipality during the week of November 6-10, 2023. All unpermitted advertising signs will be removed.
The decision for the initiative comes after an increase in resident complaints about advertising signs placed on Municipal roads, causing visual obstruction while driving.

The Municipality recently created new Terms of References for the potential creation of an Environmental Advisory Committee (EAC) and Heritage Advisory Committee (HAC).

Emergency repairs on the James A. Gifford Causeway are now complete. One lift of asphalt has been applied to the roadway and the Causeway will reopen to traffic, with intermittent lane closures, today at 12noon.
