Burn Ban in Effect - August 5, 2025
Burn Ban in Effect 08/05/2025.
Due to current conditions, the Municipality of Trent Lakes has issued a ban on all open-air burning effective August 5, 2025. This ban suspends all approved Open-Air Burning Permits.

Park locations and hours
All parks are open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Visit one of our locations and enjoy the parkland.
The Municipality of Trent Lakes has an abundance of Crown Land and forests for outdoor enthusiasts. Hunters also enjoy their time in the forest, particularly during hunting seasons. Hunting can take place on Crown Land, as well as on private land, with the permission of the property owner. People planning to hike, ride, jog or bird watch in forested areas should take the following precautions to enjoy a safe experience.
Hunting is a safe recreational activity in Ontario and non-hunters should feel comfortable using the woods at any time of the year. The following are some Be Safe, Be Seen precautions for non-hunters during hunting seasons.

The hunting seasons for each wildlife category are different and vary by Wildlife Management Unit (WMU). Trent Lakes is located in WMU 60. More information can be found in the Hunting Regulations Summary
Hunting for migratory birds is regulated at the federal level and more information is posted on the Government of Canada website
Children must be supervised at all times. The playground is not sanitized and is use at your own risk. The playground is not maintained in the winter.
Playground equipment is inspected on a regular basis. If you have any concerns or see any damage, please contact the Recreation and Facilities Department
