A Message From Hydro One:

The high winds predicted for this week materialized in some regions and we currently are experiencing outages in areas across the province.

We understand that being without power is challenging. Our crews are responding to outages across parts of the province affected by high winds, which are forecasted to continue until midnight meaning additional outages are anticipated. In some areas white out conditions and icy roads are delaying crew response times.

We encourage customers to always be prepared for the potential of an extended power outage. This includes restocking their emergency kit with items like water, nonperishable food and cash.

We have a number of tools available for customers to report their power outage and to stay up to date, including reporting an outage by texting 92887 (WATTS) and by visiting our outage map or app for updates. 

As outages occur, an estimated time of restoration will be determined for each outage once damage has been assessed by our crews. We want to remind everyone to stay far away from fallen power lines, keeping at least 10 metres back and reporting it to 911 and to Hydro One.
