On Friday, MPP Dave Smith joined representatives from the Municipality of Trent Lakes to see the results of the $185,400 Capital grant the municipality received in 2024 from the provincial government’s Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF). The grant was used to construct the Lakehurst Hall Lower Bowl, a new events space for residents of all ages to enjoy art and recreation programming outdoors.
On Friday, July 31, we will be hosting a grand opening of The Lakehurst Hall’s brand new outdoor events space!
You are invited to join Municipal staff, MPP Dave Smith and Ontario Trillium Foundation as we officially open the new space to the public.
This new Lower Bowl features an accessible, 3-tiered, armour stone seating system and performance area. The public space will allow community members of all ages and abilities to be enriched through art programming.

A Comprehensive Zoning By-law is a municipal legal document used to regulate how land is used, what types of buildings are permitted, and where they can be located.

Community Care Peterborough, in collaboration with Dillon Consulting Ltd., is completing a study for a potential public transit service across Peterborough County.
This project will identify what solutions are viable to provide new travel options for residents between our many towns, villages, landscapes, and communities.
The next municipal election will take place on October 26, 2026.

The program supports tourism-focused businesses and organizations through matched funding for new projects that will further tourism in the region.
Twenty community organizations and volunteer groups received a grant from the Municipality of Trent Lakes at the February 17, 2026, Council meeting, totalling at over $60,000 of funds distributed.
