Comprehensive Zoning By-law Review

The Municipality of Trent Lakes has hired Jp2g Consultants Inc. to develop a new Comprehensive Zoning By-law.

A Comprehensive Zoning By-law is a municipal legal document used to regulate how land is used, what types of buildings are permitted, and where they can be located.

We have begun reviewing the current By-law, ensuring it addresses recent changes to Peterborough County’s Official Plan and Provincial legislation, as well as updating definitions and provisions to streamline the planning process. Comments and concerns brought forward by the public will be addressed.

We are currently accepting feedback from the public through our online form. An Open House and Public Meeting will be held later this fall. A Preliminary Issues Report will be available for review and comment by the end of July.
