Weed Control is Your Responsibility

Notice by Peterborough County:

Notice is hereby given to all persons in possession of land, in accordance with the Weed Control Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter W.5, Sections (3), (16), and (23), as amended, that unless noxious weeds growing on their lands within the following Municipalities:

• Asphodel-Norwood
• Cavan Monaghan
• Douro-Dummer
• Havelock-Belmont-Methuen
• North Kawartha
• Otonabee-South Monaghan
• Selwyn
• Trent Lakes

are destroyed June 1, 2025, and throughout the season the Municipality may enter upon said lands and have the weeds destroyed, charging the costs against the lands as taxes, as set out in the Act. The co-operation of all citizens is earnestly solicited.
