Underway: New Fire Station and Public Works Depot
Construction has officially begun on the Municipality’s new Fire Station and Public Works Depot in Buckhorn!
Here are a few pictures of the construction underway over the last five months.
The new building will replace the current Fire Station 1 and Buckhorn Public Works Depot located at 1718 Lakehurst Road.
The facility will feature three vehicle bays for the fire department, five bays for the public works department, as well as a kitchen, bathrooms, training room and offices for staff.
This upgrade will ensure that staff can continue to meet the Level of Service requirements for fire and emergency services as well as road maintenance during future growth in the area.
Construction is scheduled to be complete by late 2026. Follow our page for continued updates on the progress of construction!
