The well water sampling drop off program will resume for the 2025 season on Tuesday, April 22nd in the Township of North Kawartha and the Municipality of Trent Lakes. The program offers free water sample collection kit pick-up and sample drop-off through these municipal offices.
As of April 14, 2025, the Municipality of Trent Lakes has officially ended its Emergency Declaration due to the ice storm in March.
Based on information received from Environment and Climate Change Canada, Trent Severn Waterway and the Ministry of Natural Resources – Surface Water Monitoring Centre, Kawartha Conservation is extending its Flood Warning on April 11, 2025, until 12:00pm Monday, April 14, 2025.

Flooding of low-lying, flood-prone areas along the Trent-Severn Waterway is expected to worsen over the next 48 hours as water level and flows continue to rise.
Over the weekend, hydro workers have been working hard to restore power to the County and will continue until power is restored to all homes.
In Trent Lakes, we are focused on ensuring residents have locations to drop off their brush and are monitoring flood levels.
