The Municipal office will close at 12 p.m. on December 24, 2025, for the holidays, and will reopen on Friday, January 2, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
All transfer station sites will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

Lakelands Public Health is pleased to be offering 750 free radon test kits to community members this year, as part of the Evict Radon National Study. Community members who receive a kit must agree to be a part of the study, set up the device for at least 91 days, and then send the kit (pre-paid envelope included) to be analyzed.

Looking to apply for a hamper?
Applications are available at the Municipal office and local transfer stations for pick up and drop off. Alternatively, you may fill out the application online and email your completed form to info@trentlakes.ca.
Please return your filled out form no later than Wednesday, December 10, at 4 p.m. Hamper pick-ups will take place on December 20, from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. at the Buckhorn Community Centre.

City of Peterborough, ON (November 17, 2025) – The Township of North Kawartha and the Municipality of Trent Lakes will pause their seasonal well water test sample drop-off program locations for the winter. The last day to drop off test samples at these municipal offices is Thursday, November 27, 2025. Seasonal service at both locations will resume in early April 2026.
During the winter months, residents who would regularly use the seasonal drop-off sites can drop off their well water test samples at the following nearest location(s):
