    Due to current weather conditions, the Municipal office will be closed today on Thursday, February 13, 2025.

    The Interim Tax Bills were mailed on Friday, February 7, 2025.

  • Family Day Holiday 2025

    The Municipal office will be closed on Monday, February 17, 2025 for the Family Day holiday.

    The office will reopen at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.

    The Q4 2024 Report Card is now available!

    Each quarter, the Municipality creates a report highlighting department activities.

  • RTO8 Launches Tourism Partnership Funding Program

    If you have a tourism product or experience, you may be eligible for RTO8’s Partnership Funding Program.

    RTO8’s focus is to help businesses build their capacity to be successful at growing the visitor economy within the region which in turn, creates vibrant communities and compelling destinations. Each year, RTO8 works hand-in-hand with tourism partners dedicated to growing the visitor economy.

    Peterborough County, in collaboration with the City of Peterborough, Selwyn Township, and the Municipality of Trent Lakes, is thrilled to announce its first-ever Local Municipal Job Fair! This event focuses on post-secondary students seeking meaningful summer employment opportunities. It will take place on Tuesday, February 13, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM in the banquet room at the Healthy Planet Arena, Peterborough.

    A recent case of avian influenza in wildlife was confirmed in the Town of Cobourg

    The health risk to humans in our geographic region remains low, but Peterborough Public Health will continue to monitor the situation and will alert to any changes that may impact the community.

    RTO8 is pleased to host a virtual cultural training session in partnership with Curve Lake First Nation and the Curve Lake Cultural Centre, designed for tourism partners in the Kawarthas Northumberland region.

    The County of Peterborough has prepared a new Official Plan to set the vision and direction for growth and development to the year 2051. Peterborough County residents are now able to review its revised Official Plan and provide comment.
