Residents of Trent Lakes can feel good about helping clean up their community and have a chance at a prize, too. In celebration of Earth Day (April 22) and Ontario’s seventh annual Provincial Day of Action on Litter (May 12), the Municipality of Trent Lakes is bringing back Clean Roadways for Earth Day for its third year!

Based on updated information from Environment and Climate Change Canada and the Ministry of Natural Resources - Surface Water Monitoring Centre, Kawartha Conservation is upgrading from a Flood Watch – Lake Shoreline Notice to a Flood Warning - Lake Shoreline Notice on Monday April 13, 2026, through to Tuesday, April 21, 2026. This Flood Warning applies to the shoreline areas of the following waterbodies:

The next municipal election will take place on October 26, 2026.
Leading up to the election, we will be sharing a range of information for voters and potential candidates to learn more about the election process.
Trent Lakes’ municipal office and all transfer stations will be closed on Good Friday (April 3) and Easter Monday (April 6). The municipal office will reopen on Tuesday, April 7 at 8:30 a.m.

The well water sampling program resumes next Tuesday in the Municipality of Trent Lakes and the Township of North Kawartha. The program offers free sample collection kit pick-up and sample drop-off through these municipal offices.
As of April 1, 2026, there shall be no daytime burning in Trent Lakes between the hours of 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
No daytime burning will be in effect until October 31, 2026.
